This is a good question although shopping online is not a new
trend or fad, people have actually been shopping online for more
than 10 years. It's just that now more and more shoppers are
realizing that it's a much more convenient way to buy products.

There are literally thousands of customers turning to online
shopping on a daily basis now simply because the advantages far
outway the disadvantages of going out shopping at their local
store.

In the age where both parents work it's sometimes the only way to
do shopping, for mothers at home it saves so much time on having
to get the kids ready and constantly having to watch them around
the store, there are no distractions like in a real store when your
kids are asking "can I have this?" Or you've loaded the car up and
got home only to find out you've forgotten to get the one thing you
purposely went out for in the first place.

You also don't waste the amount of time it takes to travel from one
store to the next because you either want something that the store
didn't have or your sure it's much cheaper across town, you don't
have the wear and tear on your vehicle, you don't run the risk of a
ticket because your late and have run a red light, or inadvertantly
gone above the speed limit. And with crime only on the increase
your not going to get pickpocketed or mugged while shopping
online.

Another good point is with most places getting so overcrowded
now the average shopping day can take all day with up to a quarter
of your time spent in line waiting to pay for your goods.

Basically shopping has become more of a chore and many people
are looking to put the fun back into shopping, this is what online
shopping has now achieved which is why more and more people
are shopping this way now.

Most online shoppers do their shopping now when all the other
shops are closed simply because they can, it's fun. They also like
the idea of having their products delivered to their door, in most
cases free of shipping and handling charges. Ever had that
problem of "how on earth am I going to get that 60" plasma TV in
my little trunk?"

Online stores are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a
year, it's safer, quicker, and you can compare prices at the click of
a button, it's fun.
There's no rules, you can shop in your lunch hour, you can shop at
breakfast time, you can shop at dinner time, you can even shop at
bedtime, and the best part.....more often than not you can get your
partner to join you usually no problem because it is fun.

When all is said and done if there is a hard way and an easy way to
do something, which would you pick? But then your probably
